2009 Castleman's Disease Summit

Successful ICDO Summit Raises Awareness About Castleman’s Disease

ICDO hosted a one-day Summit on December 2, alongside the 51st American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA.  Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical, Research & Development, LLC and OrthoBiotech, the summit featured an international panel of medical experts discussing epidemiology, symptoms, diagnosis and new treatment options for Castleman’s Disease.  Several patients shared their experiences and offered their perspective on living with the disease.

ICDO videotaped the summit sessions so that Castleman’s Disease patients and caregivers around the globe could benefit from the information shared during the event.  In addition, one-one-one interviews were conducted with several Summit speakers eager to share their insights and experiences with this rare disease.

    yes i watched this and this was everything i been going through. I too have castleman diease. So thank you Jim, for all the info that I will be giving my doctors. I called that doctor who specializes in this diease and he is sending me info on an assesment. I cant thank you enough for your website and this video. I'm in Oklahoma.

    This was Great! I am a patient with MCD in Iowa and was looking forward to the video feed. I wanted to let you know session 8 making a difference stopped playing at 1 min 51 seconds. I really look forward to hearing Gregs story when available.
