2009 Castleman's Disease Summit

Successful ICDO Summit Raises Awareness About Castleman’s Disease

ICDO hosted a one-day Summit on December 2, alongside the 51st American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA.  Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical, Research & Development, LLC and OrthoBiotech, the summit featured an international panel of medical experts discussing epidemiology, symptoms, diagnosis and new treatment options for Castleman’s Disease.  Several patients shared their experiences and offered their perspective on living with the disease.

ICDO videotaped the summit sessions so that Castleman’s Disease patients and caregivers around the globe could benefit from the information shared during the event.  In addition, one-one-one interviews were conducted with several Summit speakers eager to share their insights and experiences with this rare disease.

ICDO invites you to browse the Summit pages of our website, which includes videos (below), audio recordings, speaker presentations and bios, summit agenda and information about our sponsors.

Lastly, we are pleased to share our latest publication: “About Castleman’s Disease.”  Sincere thanks to Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical, Research & Development, LLC and OrthoBiotech for funding provided to develop this new resource. download publication pdf
